World’s Fastest Man Wants to Play Soccer?

World’s Fastest Man Wants to Play Soccer?
Jamaica’s cheetah-esque pride, Usain Bolt, wants to try his feet out on the soccer field once he feels his track and field career has come to an end ESPN.com reports. He is the fastest man in the world and is the world and Olympic champion at 100 and 200 meters. He says his goal is to bring his world-record 100 meter time down to 9.4 before his career is over, and he estimates that he has about four years left in track and field.

“I always watch those guys and I think I could be a professional footballer. I’ll try that — maybe I could get into a good side or even an average side,” Bolt told BBC in a radio interview.
Obviously it is too early to start speculating where Bolt would end up in the soccer world (EPL, MLS, etc), but he apparently wants to play soccer for two years either being a “defensive or attacking midfielder.”
If his footwork can reach the caliber of his speed, Usain Bolt could be a ferocious footballer.

  3. He can run, but he can't play professional football. Maybe on an amateur league, but surely not a top club.
